{"id":532,"date":"2020-12-03T13:43:52","date_gmt":"2020-12-03T10:43:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hoimuloimed.ee\/?page_id=532"},"modified":"2024-02-15T18:37:51","modified_gmt":"2024-02-15T15:37:51","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hoimuloimed.ee\/index.php\/en\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The name <em>H\u00f5imul\u00f5imed<\/em> consists of two Estonian words:<em> h\u00f5im(u)<\/em> which refers to a tribe or kindred peoples and <em>l\u00f5imed<\/em> which translates as &#8216;the warp yarns of a fabric&#8217;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Just like warp yarns run through a fabric, making it strong and warm, it is also the wish of H\u00f5imul\u00f5imed to be connected to our kindred peoples, to establish heartfelt and lasting ties to Finno-Ugric peoples from far and near &#8212; so that we could all feel the warm sense of togetherness.<\/em> <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>H\u00f5imul\u00f5imed<\/strong> grew out of the former Fenno-Ugria Noored, an association established in summer 2013 by young activists interested in Finno-Ugric matters. In the end of 2019, we registered our own non-governmental organisation (NGO) and since then, we use the name <em>H\u00f5imul\u00f5imed<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our aims are to raise awareness of Finno-Ugric peoples, to promote the Finno-Ugric movement and to deepen the inclusion of the younger generation in these processes.
